So What’s Wrong With WordPress Emails?
By default, WordPress emails are sent from "WordPress" <[email protected]>.
The envelope sender, however, is set to the web server default (eg: [email protected]).
This mismatch can be an instant red flag for some spam filters, and can even cause problems with your own web server if the email address “wordpress@…” doesn’t exist!
The other issue is that WordPress sends emails that are HTML only. This is also a red flag for many spam filters, as email sent from proper email clients usually includes an alternative plain text version.
These simple issues raise the spam score of even the most innocent WordPress emails – often high enough to put it into the Junk / Spam folder.

This plugin changes the WordPress Default Mail Sender Name and Email Address to the Site Name and Admin Email.
It also adds an option to set your own, in case you want a different email for outgoing WordPress emails.
It then sets the envelope sender to the same email as above, which improves email deliverability further.
Finally, it creates a plain-text version of WordPress emails and re-packages them so they are properly formatted.
This lowers the spam filter scores even more, helping avoid the Junk/Spam box.
