This plugin will generate a secure but easy to remember 3 word default password for user accounts that do not specify one at signup. It makes signup as user friendly as possible, while enhancing the security of the account.  

What's the problem?

Users like having passwords they can remember, so very often they will choose something really insecure, or use the same password over and over. Adding a password field to your signup form also makes the form more complicated, increasing friction.

To combat this, you can allow aMember to generate a random password at signup.

The problem is, the password is usually a random string of characters your customer will never remember. And sometimes, that random string of characters can inadvertently upset customers!

The BIP39 Password Generator plugin solves all these problems, giving your users an easy to remember password that is also very secure. In fact, there are... 

8.5 TRILLION possible combinations

The plugin uses the Bitcoin BIP39 word list, which contains 2048 words of 8 characters or less. Each word is uniquely identifiable from first 4 letters. The plugin randomly picks 3 of these words as the user password.

This allows you to create up to  26 character full word passwords (eg: december-erase-square), or up to 14 character shortened word passwords (eg: dece-eras-squa). 

Either way, passwords created by this plugin have 33 bits of entropy, which means there are 8.5 TRILLION possible combinations!

(Proof: 2048 x 2048 x 2048 = 2^33 = 8,589,934,592 combinations.)

Using this plugin is more secure than the aMember default password generator, which randomly creates passwords of between 17 and 29 bits of entropy.

And because BIP39 words are "family safe", you won't get any "sexiporah8" incidents.
